💒 Wedding Weekend Details
🚐 Will Transportation Be Provided for the Wedding Events?
Don't worry, we've got you covered! Transportation will be arranged to the Welcome Party at Trattoria Boschetti, about 25 minutes from The Venice Venice Hotel. We will take a short boat ride to a bus that will bring us to the farm. The Ceremony at Ca' Sagredo is about a 5 minute walk from The Venice Venice Hotel. The rest of the fun will all take place at The Venice Venice Hotel.
🌡️ What’s the Weather Like in March? Are there any events outdoors?
March in Venice marks the beginning of spring, bringing cool and often unpredictable weather that’s part of the city’s romantic charm. Daytime temperatures typically range from the low to mid-50s °F, while evenings can dip into the low 40s °F, so guests should plan for crisp air, especially after sunset. Light rain is common this time of year, and the city’s lagoon breezes can make it feel cooler, so we recommend packing layers, a warm coat, and a small umbrella or rain jacket. The welcome party will be semi-formal and held partly outdoors, with an brief aperitivo in the garden, so please dress warmly while still keeping the dress code in mind — think elegant attire paired with a coat or wrap to stay comfortable. The only other outdoor portion of the weekend will be the cocktail hour on the deck of The Venice Venice Hotel. Space heaters will be provided for that event, but we still suggest bringing an extra layer to enjoy the beautiful views without a chill.
👗 What Should I Wear to the Welcome Party on Friday evening?
We kindly request semi-formal attire for our welcome party at Boschetti Restaurant, just outside of Venice. The evening will mostly take place indoors, with a casual aperitivo to start in the garden, so please plan for both settings. For women, midi-length dresses, jumpsuits, or elegant separates — such as tailored pants paired with a chic blouse — are all perfect choices. Because the venue features cobblestone and garden paths, we recommend block heels, wedges, or stylish flats for comfort (if you love a heel, opt for a block style over a stiletto). A tailored coat, wrap, or pashmina is also encouraged, as March evenings in Venice can still feel cool.
For men, a blazer paired with trousers is ideal, with no tie required.
Think of a polished yet relaxed cocktail-party look — something refined and celebratory but comfortable enough to mingle both indoors and outdoors.
👗 What Should I Wear on the Wedding Day on Saturday?
The wedding day will be a formal celebration, so tuxedos or classic black tie suits are perfect for men, and floor-length gowns, formal dresses, or elevated evening separates are ideal for women. All events — the ceremony at Ca’ Sagredo and the reception at The Venice Venice Hotel — will take place indoors. Guests will walk outdoors for about five minutes when transitioning between the ceremony and reception, and cocktail hour will be held outside on the terrace (weather permitting), with space heaters provided for comfort.
